Abstract: In this paper, our latest work in the Intelligent Robotic Center laboratory is described. The research and development currently underway involve robot control, and parallel computing-enhanced image processing. A mobile Intelligent Space design is proposed in which one robot with sufficient computational capabilities acts as a task coordinator that manages the operation of the other robots in order to achieve a common goal even outside of the limits of the laboratory. Furthermore, based on the parallel computing principle a new straight line extraction method has been developed that is shown to be capable of finding lines in images even faster than the most widely used methods.
