About the Department

Welcome Message from the Head of Department

I warmly welcome you to the webpage of the Department of Economics and Management at J. Selye University's Faculty of Economics and Informatics. Here, you will find information about our faculty members, their academic research areas, department updates, and contact details.Our department's faculty members engage in three key areas of activity. The first is delivering courses that form an integral part of the accredited study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Informatics. Alongside specialized subjects, we place a strong emphasis on foreign language communication, providing business English and German courses at both undergraduate and master's levels. Beyond teaching, our faculty members actively engage in scientific research within their respective fields.

They also participate in research projects through collaborations at the faculty, university, and inter-institutional levels, contributing to the advancement of new scientific knowledge. The third core area of our department’s work is the dissemination of recent scientific findings. In addition to publishing research results in academic and scientific journals, we actively contribute to the creation, review, and publication of educational materials, lecture notes, scientific monographs, and books.Our department is committed to advancing the mission of the faculty and the university, striving to achieve this through the initiatives and activities described above.

News

Successful Doctoral Defenses at the Department of Economics and Management, J. Selye University

On August 21–22, six of our doctoral candidates successfully defended their dissertations and obtained their PhD degrees.
Among the full-time students were Rita Balla, Mgr. Kornél Krupánszki, and Mgr. Tilla Izsák, while the part-time program was represented by PhDr. Monika Bálintová, Mgr. Sylvia Molnár, and Ing. Krisztina Károlyi Gaál, who all enriched our academic community with this outstanding achievement.
We warmly congratulate our new PhD graduates on reaching this remarkable academic milestone and proudly wish them continued success in their scientific and professional careers!
